Newspaper reporter Emery Rose did not believe in the idea that lost spirits existed. Still, she had heard the stories from 1956 when Audra Sullivan had taken her life in a tower atop the Hotel Galvez, when her merchant marine groom did not return from sea. Reports were that he had been aboard a ship lost in a major hurricane. Still she waited to no avail, until she made the dreadful decision to end the misery.
Unable to cross over, Audra haunts Emery's dreams, until the reporter decides to spend a night at the Galvez to either debunk the legend or help the spirit of the lost bride break her ties to earth.
In the heart-wrenching struggle, Emery becomes entangled within a force stronger than herself. The mission to save Audra becomes a quest to free herself, with the support of the love of her life who reappears when she needs him the most.
