This is a fantasy novel following a mercenary that makes a turn and saves a boy from a town the mercenary was contracted to destroy. After Taking the boy back to camp, he starts trying to make the boy's life change for the better. But, he finds out that other children are being kidnapped, and abused to make a trap. The mercenary has to make a decision to save himself or the children.
