Thomas Edison invented the Psycho Phone, a crude device, he believed was capable of reaching dead people; but now, the phone company has reassigned his old phone number to Heather Ross, a strikingly beautiful cheerleader for the Carolina Panthers; nevertheless, her world is turned upside down when dead people start calling Heather non-stop. She tries getting rid of the phone only to learn the lifeless can still reach her through email, television, and billboards. Soon, she receives a call from a little girl whose kidnapping and murder leads Heather into a dark, sinister, paranormal abyss. The only way out: Heather must find a way to stop the calls, or join them.
