All their life they’d heard that Hoppernots were large two armed, two-legged, bobble headed creatures who walked upright as if sticks were stuck to their legs, kidnapped fish from the lake, and caused birds to drop from the sky. But the trio knew the scare tactics the Elders took to keep the young ones, especially them, in line and out of trouble. They thought it was all an old Croaklore . . . until they came face to face with the oddly terrifying – and not so mythical - creatures destroying the tumbledown summerhouse shared by all the lake’s animals.
