What would you do to save your daughter?
Daniel Rourke is not a good man--he's a professional assassin with a violent past. When he discovers he's got less than a month left to live, he decides to kill himself rather than live out his days in a nursing home. He has no family to tell except Emma, the daughter he gave up for adoption at birth and who doesn't know about him at all--and whom he'd rather keep innocent of his existence.
As Rourke sits contemplating suicide, his phone rings. A stranger's cold voice brings back an unfortunate event from Rourke's tragic past, and through no fault of her own, the daughter he's never known is drawn into deadly peril.
