Kate Ryan is starting her life over after a series of horrific
events. She is determined to persevere and she is just as certain that

handsome Sam Mackenzie, the cowboy who answers her advertisement for
help on her ranch. Though she tries to keep her distance, she finds
that she is inexplicably drawn to him.
Sam is immediately attracted to Kate and he knows that beneath
her cool exterior lies a woman of passion. He does his best to
integrate himself into her life and quickly falls in love with her.
