The Rocket Garden is a zombie novel without viruses, parasites,
neurotoxins, meteorites, chainsaws, shotguns, military blockades
overrun by zombie swarms, zombies that moan without air in their
lungs, zombies dressed amusingly as cheerleaders or clowns, zombie
arms squeezing through an almost-closed door, someone forced to kill a
zombified companion, someone settling a score by killing their enemy
during a zombie attack, someone asking: "God? What kind of GOD would
do this?", and of course, someone getting bit by a zombie and
concealing it within their bickering group of escaped prisoners, cops
and single mothers trapped in a farmhouse/government lab/shopping
mall.
Well, someone had to do it.
