The book of short stories portrays different characters from all works of life, characters that we can relate to as friends, colleagues or family. The problems and conquests in this book are things we face in our everyday lives. Each story has its own trait, "The Proposal" is a story about a woman who got a engaged on April Fool's Day. The second story is called "The Prodigal" as the name entails is about the prodigal daughter of a rich man, it tells about her short life and offers a moral lesson. The third story is about a lady called Janice who deals with office gossip at work. The fourth story called "Chocolate" is about a woman who is involved in an affair while still being married to her husband. In the story "Falling Asleep" is about a relationship going bad, it seems to be getting worse and then all of a sudden there is a realization.
The sixth story "Hair shop" is a short drama about the happenings at a hair salon. The seventh story "Drinking water" is a story about a certain event about drinking water that happened at a boarding school. The eight story "What she wants" is a story about a high maintenance girlfriend". "Throwback" the ninth story is a tribute to passengers of a plane crash that occurred a year ago while the tenth story "Husband and Wife" deals with the problems of a married couple.
Each story has its own bit of humor and satire. It makes a pleasant and relaxing read.
