The Key of Kilenya, a middle grade/young adult fantasy, is the first in a
series of six, four of which have been published. It has received
attention from movie studios, and fingers crossed, will someday be made
into a movie! A lot of readers say it's like a mix between Narnia,
Fablehaven, and Harry Potter. While it has some familiar aspects, all of
the creatures, races, and magics are from the author's own imagination.
Andrea wrote it for the young teenager and late middle grader, but kept
adults and older teens in mind, wanting it to appeal to all ages. It is a
true adventure story with unique creatures, mystery, and a magical key—the
kind all of us wish we'd had as children.
As mentioned, four of the six books have been published: the fourth just
came out at the end of February. As a celebration, The Key of Kilenya is
available for free and the second book, The Ember Gods, normally $3.99, is
